Evening Pet Sitter

A Leash Above CT is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and responsible Pet Sitter to join our Pack!

Our pet sitters care for a variety of animals in their own homes while their families are away. From dogs and cats to rabbits, chickens, and other small animals, every day can look a little different.

If you're someone who loves animals, enjoys being active, and takes pride in providing dependable, professional care, this could be a great fit for you!

**Must be available between 4pm-10pm**

What You'll Do

​

• Provide in-home pet sitting and daily care visits

• Feed pets and provide fresh water

• Walk and exercise dogs

• Provide playtime, enrichment, and companionship

• Clean up after pets and maintain a safe, clean environment

• Give medications when needed and when comfortable doing so

• Care for multiple types of pets according to their individual needs

• Send visit reports, photos, and updates to pet parents

• Follow detailed care instructions

• Communicate professionally with clients and the A Leash Above CT team

• Treat every pet and home with the same care and respect you would your own

The Ideal Candidate Will:

​

• Have at least 1 year of experience caring for animals

• Be comfortable working with both dogs and cats

• Be willing to work with dogs of all sizes and personalities

• Be comfortable walking on different terrain for 20+ minutes

• Be physically capable of handling larger dogs and active pets

• Have reliable transportation

• Have reliable cellphone service

• Be dependable and trustworthy

• Have excellent attention to detail

• Have fantastic customer service skills and a positive attitude

• Be comfortable working independently

• Be willing to work in all types of weather

• Be available for occasional short-notice visits when needed

• Be willing to travel throughout our service area

• Most importantly, LOVE animals!​

Bonus Qualities:

​

• Previous professional pet sitting or dog walking experience

• Veterinary, animal science, or other animal-related experience

• Experience administering medications

• Experience caring for rabbits, birds, chickens, or other small/farm animals

• Experience with senior or special-needs pets

• Previous experience working in a customer-service position​
